NRB Convention

Happy Monday! This week, I will be attending Proclaim 16, the National Religious Broadcasters International Christian Media Convention.

The convention features dozens of media related seminars by well known individuals, including the Kendrick Brothers, Joe Battaglia, Eric Metaxas, and Dr. Rick Warren.

I will also have the pleasure of conducting a number of interviews, which I plan to post to the blog. Over the weekend, my in-laws drove my high school age sister-in-law, who hopes to pursue a career in Christian media, down to Nashville to be my videographer.

My wonderful husband made me this fancy Nashville Wife microphone flag to use during my interviews. What do you think?

Why are you attending the convention/ are you doing the interviews specifically for the blog, or for something else as well?

    1. I am attending the convention so I can cover it as a reporter. My coverage will be posted primarily to this blog.

Do you use the word "nike" like the duggars do?
I love your blogs...they are wonderful!

  7. I love it! What an amazing opportunity! This made me think of a quick blogging/journalism question. When you do interviews like this or blog about the Duggar/Bates/Willis families, do you need to get permission, or can you post anything you would like as long as you credit sources? With a beginning blogger in our family and having not studied journalism, I am not sure how this works in the blogging world!

    1. Hi Sonya,

      We always ask permission. :)

If your family does 4-H, they have a wonderful journalism project for middle school and high school age students. My sister-in-law is in the process of completing it and has really learned a lot.

      Blessings,
      Ellie
