Loving the Auntie Life!

Eight months before Mr. Handsome proposed, his sister Anne, who was the only sibling married at that time, welcomed her first child, Ana. This gal is currently the only grandchild, and she absolutely loves all the attention.

At 20 months old, Ana knows her colors, can identify almost all the uppercase letters, and can count to 10. Although Mr. Handsome and I aren't able to see her very often, she knows exactly who we are. Last time I Skyped with Anne, my heart nearly melted when my adorable niece exclaimed, "It's Aunt Ellie!"

Well it looks like Ana won't be the only grandchild for long! Anne and her husband are expecting Baby #2 in October. What do you think of their announcement photo? They shared it with our family on Valentine's Day.

Cute! Is Ana pronounced "AH-nuh" of "Anne-uh"?

    1. Only Anne, but two others are in serious relationships, so we may have a couple weddings next spring or summer.

I think they made a cute announcement photo. It made me think of the idiom that I put a link to, about little feet.

Love the announcement!! Congratulations to Anne and her husband!

Are they sticking to all A names or are they have different letters.
If they go with a different letter they could name it Beth for a girl or for a boy Bill

    1. If it's a girl, she will have an "A," name, but if it's a boy, they have a name that starts with a different letter in mind.

I am a single mother of a boy and love the name his dad and I gave him. It's been several years and I haven't dated again and I'm not counting on getting married again (I have to accept God's plan) so probably means no more children but if I did end up with a baby girl, I would name her Aura Bella...i just love the name :-)

      Feel free to steal :-)
I think I like it even more because the initials would be the same as what my son has, A and B.

By the way, I ordered the can opener that you suggested a while back. Can't wait to try it!
Thanks for sharing that with us

Ellie, is that side of the family friends with the Bates? All these pregnant girls can talk about it and compare stories...Kelsey (Erin's friend), Erin, Whitney, Priscilla, now Anne and who knows maybe there are others we don't know about yet.

    1. Hi there,

I'm the one who knows the Bates family, although I introduced them to my in-laws a couple years ago (before they were officially my in-laws). :)

Congrats! I was just going to ask if they were going to find out the gender. I am sure they would be happy with ether one. I am having a nephew and don't know the gender yet of my sister who is pregnant. Being an aunt is fun!
