1 Million Pageviews!

I told myself that I was going to check my Nashville Wife pageview meter every night before bed so I could watch it switch over from 999,999 to 1,000,000. But alas, my busy life got the best of my, and I missed it...

So today, I'm at 1,026,000 pageviews. Woohoo!

Of course, I couldn't have done it without my wonderful readers. Y'all are the best! I love sharing my life with you and chatting with you via the comments section.

Please feel free to share your suggestions for my blog, either as a comment or an email (NashvilleWife@gmail.com). Many readers have done that already, and I hope many more will!

Lastly, we must find a way to celebrate this milestone. Any ideas? Someone mentioned doing a giveaway. What do you think I should raffle off?

As always, I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts. :)

Have a blessed day!
Ellie

Oh yes!! Would Mr. Handsome be willing to paint some pictures and give them away Ellie? We would love some!

I agree about Mr. Handsome's paintings or have him make a card and give a card away that way someone can give it to someone else!!

    4. That's a great idea! I'll talk to Mr. Handsome about that. Currently he has two sisters to make birthday paintings for, but hopefully he can squeeze this one in too. :)

Bake a cake, decorate it, have a tea party, take pictures and let us see. Do you get invited to tea parties?

    1. That's a cute idea. The only official tea parties I have been to are with my sisters-in-law.

Coffee shops have replaced tea get togethers, but it is a good idea to revive occasionally.

You could do a memory lane contest and hide ten Nashville Wife icons in your past blogs, then draw from those who find them all.

Congrats Ellie! To celebrate this milestone you could go to the Gentle Barn in Tennessee and make a short video and blog post about it. http://www.gentlebarn.org/tennessee/ Or you could do something smaller like update your blog header or plant a symbolic tree in the backyard.

    1. Those are both great ideas, although they might some time to plan. I've never planted a tree, but I think it would be fun to do!

  17. Congratulations on all your page views! You should have two or three or four winners and give away a gift card, dark chocolate and whatever else you see in the store. Or you could just giveaway three or four gift cards. I love gift cards. Lots of people do too. :)

    Yours truly,
    Mary

I think the wonderful blog from Ellie is gift enough we don't need any "gift card" at all that is something you give to family and friends for a birthday or holiday gift. Ellie you and Mr handsome are gift enough to us readers. Thank you for everything you share with us you are a sweet person!

You don't need to give us gift cards, or presents, or a giveaway. We are perfectly happy just reading your blog, getting a glimpse into your newlywed life, enjoying your thoughtful posts, and talking with you. Take the money you would spend on us and go out with Mr. Handsome and have a spectacular date night out! Go to a fun or fancy restaurant and treat yourselves for all the work you do!!! I'm sure others on here will agree. Wishing you the best,
      Anna

I like the idea of planting a symbolic tree in the backyard. If you are in an apartment then have a tree planted in a local park or outside your church. They often have extra space. Make sure it's a native tree to your area. The Gentle Barn sounds awesome too!

Yes, I've planted a few trees. Here is a link to the Arbor Day Foundation website explaining how to plant a tree and care for it. https://www.arborday.org/trees/index-planting.cfm My tip is to make sure you give the tree lots of water on hot days when it's getting established. Also plant it where the tree can get good sun and rain fall.

    1. I'm glad to hear that! We don't spend a lot of time doing stuff in the city. We prefer to take advantage of all the hiking outside the city. Fall Creek Falls is beautiful, as is Cummins Falls. Do you live in Nashville?
