1. His generosity.
Mr. Handsome is always willing to help people out, whether it means giving of his time, money, or talents. Sometimes my frugality stands in the way of my ability to be generous with money, but Mr. Handsome’s example is helping me become a more generous giver. One my two brothers-in-law lives just under one hour away from us. He is single, and let’s just say that cooking is not one of his talents. We are his only family nearby, so we end up sharing meals with him multiple times a week. While we often joke about the fact that he enjoys raiding our well-stocked fridge and doesn’t always pay us for the food we provide, Mr. Handsome never asks his brother for money.
2. His patience.
As the oldest of seven children, Mr. Handsome has had plenty of chances to learn patience, and I am very grateful for that. Whenever I am feeling emotional, stressed out, or just overwhelmed in general, he is always willing to listen without making me feel shameful. If needed, he lovingly shares advice, but he doesn’t lose patience with me, even when my shortcomings are obvious.
3. His sense of humor.
Through the good times and bad, Mr. Handsome never loses his sense of humor. Even when we are walking through one of life’s storms, he has a way of shedding a ray of light by making remarks that are both lighthearted and tactful. And when he finds himself in an awkward situation, he quickly diffuses it with a witty remark. Mr. Handsome’s sense of humor reminds me to find positives in all situations and to remember that I am never without hope.
