3 Attributes Part 2

A few weeks ago, one of my readers challenged me to answer the question, "What are your favorite attributes about your spouse?" I posted them on June 29th.

Following that post, you all suggested that I ask Mr. Handsome to share his three favorite attributes about me. I mentioned it to him right away, but we've been busy this month, and he never had a chance to write them down for me.

Three nights ago while we were driving, I finally remembered to ask him if he had come up with three attributes yet, and he responded right away. It was clear that he had already spent some time thinking about it, which was sweet.

I would love to hear you spouse's favorite attributes about you. If you're not married, feel free to choose another loved one, such as a parent or sibling.

Here are Mr. Handsome's three attributes...

1. Her strong work ethic.
Ellie is a hard worker and does a great job managing her three blogs while running our household.

2. Her Encouragement
When I return home from work, she always greets me with a smiling face. Whether I have had a rough day or a great day, she responds with encouragement as I share my triumphs and frustrations.

3. Her Compassion
Ellie has great sympathy for others and is always looking for way to serve.

What sweet things your husband had to say! Unrelated, but you look stunning in that dress in the picture, Ellie.

I really like your dress. I'm divorced now, but my ex-husband, even to this day, always said I was a good mother.

    1. Thank you for sharing this (that your ex-husband was willing to honor you as a mother). I wish more divorced couples realized how deeply they wound their children when they run down one of the children's parents.

    2. Yes, thank you for sharing that. I grew up in an area where divorce was very prevalent, and it was always sad, but it was especially sad when the parents seemed to show very little concern for their children.

Ellie I also wanted you to know that what Mr Handsome said about you confirmed what I thought you were like from reading your blogs. I agree with the others that the dress you have on in picture is beautiful on you.

Ellie- you look beautiful in that picture! I agree with your husband, you are busy with 3 blogs and a household to maintain. From what I pick up in your posts you handle it quite well! Thanks for writing these blogs, I enjoy them very much.

How cute of your husband to be willing to share it!
I'm the person who asked if he could, so I appreciate that you both kept up with your promise. :)
I just think it's nice to see a young couple proving that despite the roles we each have in life, the effort we put in our relationship must come from both sides: both should cherish and respect one another.
And btw your dress is really pretty!

    1. Thank you, Jean! :) I do enjoy it when I'm in his office and get to see him interact with patients. He's very compassionate and patient. Maybe that comes from being the oldest of 7 kids.

Are you insinuating that young women shouldn't contribute to the household income and work? I sure hope you teach your children to be independent and not have to rely on someone else

How did you gather that? I didn't get that from this post at all. Quite honestly, that's none of your business. Anyways, Ellie has a job and earns money for her family.

    2. Nope, I'm not insinuating that at all. People have different situations and different opinions on the subject , although both of us hope for me to be a stay-at-home mom. We were both raised by stay-at-home moms, and we feel like it was a huge blessing to have mothers who could be so involved in our childhoods. But that being said, I also hope to continue furthering my career by working from home while raising children. Hope that answers your question. :)

You should make a list of talents your husband has. I am sure it would make a neat post!

Did your husband go to an accelerated dental program, or just regular?

    1. Regular. He completed four years of undergrad and then four years of dental school.
