Famous Mothers Game

Mother's Day is just around the corner. How will you honor the special women in your life?

Mr. Handsome's grandma led guests in this creative game at an early Mother's Day tea. I wasn't able to attend, but she emailed me a copy so I could share it with my readers.

That's fun. Would be good for a baby shower too. I especially like no. 19!
But, and I'm sorry to be pernickety here, no. 11 is technically incorrect. The British monarch is not known as the Queen Mother. That was a title which was created for Queen Elizabeth, the wife of King George VI, after his death. When her daughter became Queen Elizabeth II she became known as Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother to avoid confusion.
Also, I know that Americans often use the term England to refer to the whole of the UK but as a Scot this is a bit of a pet irritation! Three kingdoms make up the UK; England, Scotland and Wales, and Queen Elizabeth II is Queen of the United Kingdoms of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, her other realms and territories and Head of the Commonwealth. Not just queen of England!

Oops, schoolgirl error. The three kingdoms are England, Scotland and Ireland! Wales is technically a principality (hence Prince of Wales). So four countries to make up the UK, three kingdoms and a principality.
I wrote the original post after midnight (UK time) so really I should have gone to sleep and waited until my brain was awake!

Hi Ellie! I know this is completely off topic, but I've been wondering if you have read any of Jane Austen's novels and/or watched any of their film adaptations? Also, have you read/watched Little Women and Anne of Green Gables?
