Celebrating 2.5 Years

Mr. Handsome and I are celebrating an exciting milestone. Yesterday was the two-and-a-half-year anniversary of NashvilleWife.com!

Although I have been blogging for more than eight years, sharing posts on Nashville Wife has been my favorite endeavor. I love communicating with all my faithful followers--who live across the globe--via comments and emails, and I want to give a big shout-out to all of you. Looking forward to another two-and-a-half years of blogging bliss!

I recently wrote a post requesting feedback, and I want you to know that I have read and taken to heart every single comment.

For nostalgia, here is the very first picture I shared with you all. It was taken on the day of our Florida beach engagement.

Congratulations Ellie!! I also read your Duggar and Bates blogs. I trust that the updates you give us are true and not just rumors. I would say however that your Nashville wife blog is my favorite!! I like being able to connect with you through the comments. Looking forward to reading your blog for many years to come!!

This is confusing. Is it the anniversary of your marriage or engagement? Do you celebrate every half year anniversary? Or is it the anniversary of starting your blog?

Your answer is in the second sentence of Ellie's blog post up above. Not confusing at all.

When the post first went up, the second sentence said it was the anniversary of Nashville Wife. Which could mean when Ellie became a "Nashville Wife". She edited the post after the fact to make it say "NashvilleWife.com". I also thought it was confusing because she posted a photo of their engagement. Plus, the first sentence of the post made it sound like they were celebrating a milestone in their relationship. I don't know anyone who celebrates half-year anniversaries after the first year of dating or marriage... let alone the 2-and-a-half-year anniversary of a blog. It just seemed unusual. I wasn't the only one confused.

  8. Ellie, I love reading all of your blogs. This one has become my favorite, simply because I am a young wife now and I love all the ideas, receipes, and such that you post! I would love to start my own blog, but I'm not sure how I would go about starting one and promoting it. Would you have any advice? Thank you!
