'Extraordinary' DVD Giveaway

Extraordinary DVD

As a way of wishing all my readers a happy new year, I'm kicking off 2018 with a giveaway. I'm raffling off two copies of the movie Extraordinary, starring Kirk Cameron, Leland Klassen, Karen Abercrombie, and Shari Rigby (I met Shari Rigby in 2016--click here to watch my interview).

Based on a true marriage journey, Extraordinary tells the story of ultra-marathon runner and college professor David Horton, his wife, Nancy, and their attempt to finish their marriage race well. Although proud of his incredible athletic accomplishments and the impact he has on his students, David’s family continuously pays a high price for his years of competitive running. Following David's open-heart surgery and irreparable knee damage, Nancy is ready for her husband to hang up his racing shoes for good and focus his boundless energy on their family. Feeling called by God to “inspire people one last time,” Dave sets off for a 2,900-mile race across America.

Extraordinary will be available on Universal Pictures Home Entertainment DVD and digital on January 16th. Follow the prompts on the Rafflecopter Widget below to enter to win.

Thanks to my mom, I love older movies the best. My favorite is My Man Godfry starring Carole Lombard. I also love silents. Sometimes I watch more modern movies on Netflix.

If you don’t mind me asking what work to you do that allows you to still homeschool? I’m planning on homeschooling as well and we start this year!

Most of these films center around husbands defying the odds (and usually the wishes of their wives) to do whatever it is that they want to do (for this film it's running). Are there any films that portray a wife as overcoming adversity to fulfill her dreams?

Don't enjoy movies that have "too much" drama in them. I have had enough drama in my life to last a lifetime. Was a little sad over the holidays, so I felt I needed a pick me up. Since I enjoy musicals went to see "The Greatest Showman". I'm glad I did,I enjoyed the movie...Jane

We watched "The Resurrection of Gavin Stone" after seeing your post on here, and that turned out to be really funny!

"The Case For Christ" was also good. We saw that 2x this year.

And for non-Christian films, we also enjoyed "The Last Jedi" - my first Star Wars to see in the theater.

    - Alisa Westerholm.
