My Kind of Fishing Trip

Labor Day weekend was incredibly busy for us, but we had a blast. We spent most of the time with Mr. Handsome's family because they live closest, but my family was able to drive down for a day to see us.

On Saturday, we spent all afternoon and evening at Mr. Handsome's great-grandmother's 100th birthday party. On the way home, Mr. Handsome decided it would be a good idea to stop by his grandmother's house and throw a couple fishing lines in her pond. Trying to be a good wife, I went along with it, although it was pitched black, and the only flashlight we had was the one on my iPhone.

We ended up catching three, two-foot long catfish in the span of about 15 minutes. (One of them was mine, although Mr. Handsome helped get it out of the water.) We went back the next day and caught five more in under an hour. Now that's my kind of fishing!

While taking pictures of the fish, Mr. Handsome suggested we show our wedding rings to represent the teamwork it took to catch them.

    1. Hi Alexis,

I fried them in batter. It's not super healthy, but that's my husband's favorite way to eat fish. :)
