When I was two years old, my family attended a Christmas party at my dad’s office. Trying to make the event kid-friendly, someone decided to have a white-bearded fellow (also known as Santa Claus) pass out gifts to the children.
I suppose the older children probably enjoyed it, but as you can tell, I wasn’t too impressed. Hope this picture makes you laugh!

Thanks for sharing your Santa Claus picture. It did make me laugh. I'm trying to figure out why on earth we teach our children to stay away from strangers, and then make them sit on complete strangers laps…Maybe I'm taking this way too seriously but we should be telling the Almighty our needs, desires, etc…instead of teaching our kids its ok to go up to a stranger and pour out our heart to him. God knows when we are sleeping, He knows when we are awake, He knows if we are good or bad…and by golly we should be good for HIM not some stupid man dressed in red for some dumb present that's going to end up collecting dust. Just wanting to praise and worship the creator of the universe in spirit and in truth.

Wow, you were a blondie! Did your hair just naturally darken over time?
nashvillewife@gmail.com
My hair was brown when I was born and then started lightening when I was a toddler. A few years later, it started slowly turning brown again, but somehow I still have a small section of blonde around my face.
Blessings,

Awww…you were cute though! Your hair was blonde before?

Thanks, Sele'ha! I was brunette at birth, blonde as a toddler and young child, and brunette with a few natural blonde highlights from elementary school on. π

Kind of like the first time smoking … maybe this is telling you something! But like most of us learned to love it and now are slaves to the whole nine yards every year.

So once upon a time, you have been to a wonderful place and had a wonderful time. (Intense emotional reaction aside, what was in the package?)

Guess you can't remember.

Hi there!
I'm not sure what was in the package. I texted my mom, and she says she doesn't remember either. π

I would not know that child is you. A chubby blond crying girl who is not happy on that man's knee, to a slim brunette smiling woman who loves her man and also loves all that Christmas stuff.

Adorable! I was the "photographer's assistant" at my office's family holiday party this year, and about 20% of the kids would have a meltdown when their parents attempted to place them on Santa's knee. Poor Santa took a few kicks, but handled it like a champ π He's kinda scary to young eyes!! -Sharon

This is adorable, but would not have guessed it to be you! Would like to see more baby pictures.

You were cute!

Cute, you were adorable then too, great hair! I guess that is called 'making strange'! On a serious note I wonder about
1 Timothy 4:7, where is the line drawn. The extrapolation of Santa as a Christmas super hero is something I wonder about. Doesn't the 'fun' and excitement of a Santa story over ride the Christmas story and make that story the 'Holy' religious part but not the real fun part? Isn't Christmas a few months late from the time Christ is thought to really have been born? To get the Bible into children there needs to be a focus on celebrating the actual true event and why that is wonderful and something to relive and celebrate and worship.

Lol! i never imagined you looked like that as a baby! when i was born i had dark brown hair, which was strange because my mother had blond hair and my dad had light brown like my sister. When i was about one, my dark hair slowly changed blond and stayed that way ever since!

Although St. Nick was a real person that is worthy of imitating in his love for the poor and young children, my family has never tried to make us "believe" in the magical Santa Claus. We still enjoyed sitting on his lap at parties and stuff & like the historical tales, but my folks didn't tell us "Santa's coming tonight, etc." My mom felt that she always wants to be truthful with us. If you purposefully mislead a young child about the "reality" of Santa Claus, what's to make them think Jensus is not just a fairytale like Santa, when their skeptical friends claim both are myths? So, we've always drawn a firm line between imaginary folklore & true Gospel miracles!
BTW, Jesus was probably born in the Spring, but the early Christians were a minority religion, so they purposefully placed the celebration on an official Roman holiday, when they would not likely be forced to work for their Roman employers (today, in Europe & America, the opposite is true; Christian holidays are the norm, while muslim or mormon celebrations don't even make it onto our calendars, let alone gain national holiday status).

This may seem heavy but creating a Santa does equate to creating an idol to love and worship. Jeremiah 29:13, Proverbs 8:17, Dueteronomy 4:29 … Does Santa help lead us to the list living God? Or does the figure of Santa replace God in our lives?

I find auto correct is assuming and changes words without the typist even realizing it happened so if words just seem awkward likely auto correct snuck in some changes. Would a college instructor buy that idea on a students paper?
