At the corner of 1st & April
Before leaving for work in the morning, Mr. Handsome called the office manager at the dental practice where he works and told her that he had been in a car wreck and had injured his hand. For most people, an injured hand isn’t a big deal, but for a dentist, it’s a catastrophe. “I can’t get a hold of my wife, and I need a ride to the hospital,” Mr Handsome told her. “Can you pick me up at the corner of 1st St and April St?”
There was a pause as the office manager wrote down the location. It was clear that she hadn’t gotten the joke. “Make sure to come to the corner of 1st St and April St,” my husband repeated. We heard hysterical laughter on the other end of the line, as one of the dental assistants apparently realized that it was an April Fools’ prank. They all thought it was hilarious, and my husband was very proud of himself.
You deserve a donut…just kidding
This one was also my husband’s idea, but I executed it. I went to a local donut shop and purchased half a dozen donuts and an extra box.
I opened the empty box, wrote “Happy April Fools’ Day!” and tossed a few carrots in. I took both boxes over to the dental practice, hiding the box full of donuts in a desk drawer and putting the prank box in the staff break room.
I had work to do, so I couldn’t stick around to see their reactions, but my husband told me that we got a couple of his coworkers really good. If you’re going to use that prank, be sure to weigh the box down a little bit, as some of the other employees said that they were suspicious of such a light box.
I hit your car…
This is the one I played on my husband. Well I was dropping the donuts off, I put this note on his car windshield. (He parks in a church parking lot.) If you really want to be mean, don’t write Happy April Fools’ Day on the note, and the victim will be extremely confused as he or she searches for a dent that doesn’t exist. I decided not to put my husband through that.
When he came home, he told me that he had known it was an April Fools’ joke all along but had not realized it was from me until he read the back. Secretly, I think he just didn’t want to admit that I got him good π

I really enjoy a good April Fool's joke! I personally haven't done much, because I'm not that creative, but I love seeing and hearing how other people pull their pranks!

Funny fun! I really did seriously something damaging to the thing I was supposed to be cleaning and had to tell my boss, yesterday morning. Thank goodness I did not get fired.

I have done a repair on the damage this week. Not being a bull in a China shop is an important skill sometimes.

I like the donut prank!
My son was playing tricks on me the whole day. He's 8 so they were innocent pranks like:"I didn't do my homework" "I can't find what you asked for"
It was nice of you to write April Fools on the back. Too nice.
I wouldn't have written anything. Then you would have gotten him goodπ

Haha, I'll keep that in mind for next year!

Yes, We always play April Fools Day jokes on family and friends. Silly jokes not mean ones. My teacher friend told her whole class that they failed their spelling test and had to retake it right then. The kids were not happy until she said April Fools. I hope you gave the workers the real donuts as well.

That's hilarious! We did give them real donuts. π

I had success with a coconut. I picked one up at kroger and shook it to make sure it had water. When I got home I put it in the freezer for no specific reason. When I remembered it the next morning, I got out of bed immediately to get it out. The outer shell had cracked so I used a hammer to take it off comletely. Then the coconut cracked into 2 pieces as well. Thankfully the water was frozen, half in each piece. I offered some to my son (7) who didn't like it. Then, I drank the slushy coconut water on one piece and let the other one thaw back into liquid completely, enjoyed that as well. There just wasn't enough. I've been snacking on the rest of the coconut.

I love april fools. When I was younger My mum and us kids hid some of our stuff like the television and stuff and made it look like the house had been broken into and when my dad woke up he got such a shock and I remember him saying repeatedly kids don't touch anything. Then we all lost with laughter it was very hard to keep a straight face.

You played some good jokes. I especially like the donuts joke. π I'm going to play that next year, or maybe even before next year. π lol.
The doughnut box looks familiar. There's a place here that has a box that looks just like that called Jupiter Donuts. π
Love,
Ashley

Hi Ashley,
Let me know how the prank goes for you! I think it's a generic box used by many donut stores. π

My husband and I have only participated in one April Fool's Day, but it was so good that we figured we'd never be able to top it, so we haven't tried π We met on Feb. 13, 1987, in college. So, when April Fool's Day rolled around, it was about 1-1/2 months into our relationship, so not too long. I was living in a sorority house on campus at the time and he in the dorms. When I got a phone call that day and answered it, I wasn't even thinking about the fact that it was April Fool's Day. It was him and the first words out of his mouth after hello were, "I've decided I want you to be the mother of my children." I fell off the stool I was sitting on and dropped the phone. One of my sorority sisters was walking by at the time and she picked up the phone and said, "What did you say to her." He told her to give the phone back to me and when I said, "what" he said, "April Fools!". Needless to say, I didn't talk to him for awhile, until he apologized and felt all bad for doing it. But here is the best part, we married five years later and 6 years after that, we had our first child (so I had to wait a long time to say this to him), but when they put our son on my chest after his birth, I looked at my hubby and said, "Well, I guess the joke is on you – I guess you won't be playing any more April Fool's Day jokes!"

Wow! What an April Fools' joke! And what a sweet ending. Thanks for sharing!

I LOVE April fools!!!! I have 3 older brothers and pranking them is just a party!!!! I don't think they like their little sister getting ahead of them and playing these pranks on them!! my brothers love Oreo cookies so I found some white tooth paste and scraped the filling off of the cookie and filled it up with toothpaste… watching one of my brothers take a bite into a cookie was priceless!!!!I had to go around the corner so he would not see me dying with laughter!!! I also put rice under the toilet seat so when you sit down they think they broke the toilet seat, because it gives cracking sounds!! i also put salt in the toot brushes!!! I did more stuff but i can't remember right off the top of my head!!! all in all it was a party getting my brothers back for all the pranks they have pulled on me throughout the years!! Jera
