Earlier this week, Mr. Handsome and I made a big bowl of our signature “microwave” popcorn and watched the movie Union Bound. Based on the incredible true story of Joseph Hoover, a Union soldier who escaped from a Confederate prisoner of war camp with the help of slaves, Union Bound opened in theaters across the United States on April 22nd. Β
We give this film two thumbs up for its vivid, suspenseful, and historically rich storyline. Rated PG-13, Union Bound features battle scenes and four mild profanities and is not suitable for children. I would encourage parents of young teenagers to watch the movie alongside their kids.

Thank you for the review Ellie. My husband loves history and seems like this would be a movie he and I could really enjoy together.

Hi Ellie, Kinda off the subject but have you ever interviewed the Benham brothers?? Just thought it sounded like you on a video I saw but it didn't show the interviewer π

I showed the preview to my better half and he suggested we go.

I haven't interviewed the Benham brothers, but they walked past me in the press room at a conference. I tried to get an interview with them, but by the time I contacted their publicist, their schedule was completely full.

It's lovely that the Benham Brothers live in a country that lets them live the way they want to. However, when they speak out the way they did against how others want to live, then they'd better be prepared for the inevitable backlash.

Thank you, Ellie, for your reply. I just came across a short video and it sounded like your voice asking the questions. But you did see them, though–that's nice. God bless you. π
